About the Job
Patient Care & Marketing Coordinator (Front Desk + Social Media & Community Outreach)
Scott Physical Therapy
Scott, Louisiana | Full-Time | $20–$22/hour

Love helping people AND love telling a great story on social media? This role lets you do both.

Scott Physical Therapy is a locally owned, independent practice that helps people in Scott and across Acadiana recover, move better, and get back to the things they love. We're looking for a Patient Care & Marketing Coordinator to be the friendly first face of our clinic and the person who helps our community get to know us.

You'll spend most of your week making sure every patient feels welcomed and well cared for, and about 10–15 hours a week owning our marketing: social media, reviews, newsletters, and getting out into the community to build relationships with physicians, gyms, and local businesses. Marketing here isn't an afterthought. It's yours to shape.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Patient Care & Front Office (about 25–30 hours/week):
  • Welcome patients in person and on the phone and keep the daily schedule running smoothly.
  • Turn incoming referrals into scheduled evaluations and follow up on any that are still pending.
  • Make welcome calls to new patients and guide them from first visit through discharge.
  • Verify insurance and demographic information, and explain benefits, authorizations, and out-of-pocket costs in plain language.
  • Collect co-pays and balances and post payments accurately.
  • Keep patient records, scanned documents, and our EMR accurate and up to date.
  • Keep the clinic stocked and help the clinical team with administrative needs.
Marketing & Community Outreach (about 10–15 hours/week):
  • Plan and post content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, including photos and short videos from the clinic.
  • Write our email newsletter, patient education pieces, and patient success stories (with consent), and keep the website current.
  • Manage our Google Business Profile and grow our patient reviews.
  • Visit referring physicians, gyms, and wellness businesses to build lasting relationships.
  • Plan and staff community events, health fairs, and workshops.
  • Track what's working (referral sources, reviews, social engagement, event turnout) and bring new ideas to the table.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS:
  • You know our scheduling, insurance, and EMR workflow, and the front desk runs smoothly on your watch.
  • Every new referral is contacted promptly and pending referrals don't slip through the cracks.
  • Our social media is active and consistent, with a simple monthly content plan you created.
  • You've introduced yourself to our key referral sources and planned your first community event.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • 1+ year of experience in a medical office, physical therapy clinic, customer service, hospitality, or marketing role.
  • A warm, confident communication style, in person and on the phone.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, especially with schedules, insurance, and payments.
  • Clear, friendly writing.
  • Comfort using Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for a business, and willingness to learn our EMR and scheduling software.
  • A self-starter: you see what needs doing and do it.
  • A genuine interest in healthcare, wellness, and helping people.

Bonus points for:
  • Canva or other design tools.
  • Social media management or content creation (photo/video).
  • Email platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
  • Insurance verification or medical billing experience.
  • Event planning, or experience working with physicians and referral sources.
  • Google Business Profile, local SEO, or review generation.

WHY YOU'LL LIKE WORKING HERE:
  • Your work shows. In a small, locally owned practice, you'll see the impact of every new patient and every new partnership.
  • Real ownership of both the patient experience and our marketing.
  • A close-knit clinical team that cares about patients and about each other.
  • Paid training and room to grow as the practice grows.

THE PHYSICAL SIDE:
Sitting or standing for long periods, regular computer and phone work, occasionally lifting marketing or office materials, and local driving for referral visits and events (reliable transportation required).

HOW TO APPLY:
Apply through this posting with your resume and a few sentences telling us:
1. Why this role interests you, and
2. One local business or brand whose social media you think does a great job, and why.

We review applications as they come in and look forward to meeting you.

Scott Physical Therapy is an equal opportunity employer.
